Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of face-rating.net and its free on-device tools, educational content and result cards (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. The Service is not directed to children, and you may not use it to analyze a minor's photo.

face-rating provides informational and style-oriented facial analysis tools. Free tools process your selected photo on your device without uploading it. You can view measurements, save a result card and explore related tools without creating an account.

Results are temporary unless you save them on your device. We cannot restore a result after you close or reload the page.

The Service provides information, photo-based measurements and style references. Scores and observations are not diagnoses, health assessments, attractiveness rankings, professional consultations or measures of personal worth.

Results depend on the photo, lighting, expression, camera distance, model and method. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent. Do not use them to make medical, dermatological, dental, cosmetic-procedure, mental-health, employment, insurance, credit or other high-impact decisions. Consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting on health or procedure-related information.

You retain ownership of your photos. Selecting a photo authorizes the tool to process it locally in your browser for the analysis you requested; it does not upload the photo to us. If you send material to support, we may process it only as needed to respond, secure the service and meet applicable legal obligations.

You may select only a photo of yourself or an adult who has knowingly authorized this specific use. You must not submit content that is illegal, exploitative, sexually explicit, non-consensual, deceptive, harassing, infringing, or designed to identify, track or make consequential decisions about another person.

You must not probe or bypass security, content moderation or access limits; scrape or overload the Service; reverse engineer protected parts of the Service except where law permits; introduce malware; or use outputs to mislead people about a real person's actions or appearance.

AI estimates and landmark measurements can be inaccurate or incomplete. Sample portraits and diagrams explain the tools; they are not your personal result or a promise of a real-world outcome.

Review results before sharing or relying on them. If you share a card or summary, preserve its photo-based context and limitations. You control whether to include your photo and where to share it.

Subject to these Terms and third-party rights, you may save and share your result cards for personal, non-commercial purposes. Contact us before using our content commercially.

The Service, site design, branding, explanatory content, software and scoring presentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you permission to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of the Service or its branding.

You may not copy, resell or present a substantial part of the Service as your own. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.

We may update, limit, suspend or discontinue a feature for security, legal, provider, maintenance or product reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict access that violates these Terms, threatens users or systems, or creates legal exposure. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to appeal.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not guarantee a particular score, recommendation, emotional response or real-world result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity or emotional distress arising from the Service.

These exclusions and limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or mandatory consumer rights.

The Service is currently operated by an individual operator and these Terms do not designate an exclusive governing law or court. Mandatory laws and consumer protections in your place of residence may apply.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact contact@face-rating.net with a concise description of the issue and the resolution you seek. We will try to resolve the matter in good faith. Nothing here prevents either party from using a court, regulator or consumer process available under applicable law.

We may update these Terms as the Service, providers or law changes. We will update the date above and give a prominent notice or email for material changes where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively; continued use after they take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
